This series will dive into various aspects of system integration. Speakers from throughout the Dutch energy sector will give a lecture on topics such as energy markets, supply chains and grid infrastructure. Together, they will provide an overview of the opportunities and challenges we are facing in the energy transition.
Programme Description
System integration
The development of a sustainable energy system which can integrate offshore and onshore renewable energy, is one of the greatest challenges of our time. Renewable sources such as wind and solar have a flexible generation profile which doesn’t match with our current energy system. For the energy transition to succeed, we need to do more than simply build sustainable power generation facilities. To establish a sustainable energy supply, we need a re-design of our energy system to get renewable power to the right place at the right time, in the right form. This is called system integration.
