The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization developing advanced technologies to remove plastic pollution from the world’s oceans and rivers. Their goal is to eliminate 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040. By intercepting plastic in rivers before it reaches the sea and cleaning up existing pollution, they tackle the problem at both ends. Their systems have already removed thousands of tons of plastic from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Through innovation and research, they aim for a future with plastic-free oceans.
