Renewable energy comes from sources or processes that are constantly replenished. The sun and the wind could be an infinite source of energy. However, our renewables are made of sources that are not constantly replenished. To what extent could this hamper the road to a carbon neutral energy landscape?

  • Get to know the worldwide materials production, resource and reserves
  • Find out what the supply bottlenecks are
  • Learn which materials the different renewables need

A system approach to reuse, recycling and repurposing of metals and materials can contribute to a greater security of supply of the raw materials. Lithium, graphite and cobalt are a few examples of often-used materials for the production of renewables. A circular approach is vital, not only for the energy production, but also for daily business.
