This energy learning activity is part of the New Energy Regatta on 23&24 September.

For the first time an energy innovation is set to take place at a distance of 13 kilometres off the coast of Scheveningen. Green hydrogen will be produced offshore on an operational platform. This pilot project is known as PosHYdon.

PosHYdon will integrate three energy systems in the North Sea – offshore wind, offshore gas and offshore hydrogen – at Neptune Energy’s Q13a-A platform. This production platform is the first fully electrified platform in the Dutch North Sea.

Nexstep is the joint initiative of EBN and the Dutch oil and gas industry, represented by NOGEPA. It is our ambition to stimulate re-use and collaboration in decommissioning of oil and gas infrastructure in the Netherlands. We share learnings, drive innovation and promote effective and efficient regulation; all with the clear ambition to contribute to the energy transition.

But the energy transition brings more challenges. How can we educate youngsters and prepare them for a future of work we don’t know they will exist? We will elaborate on this topic during this lecture.
