The Green Business Challenge IT Edition 2025 is a free two-day hackathon on September 25–26 in Hoogeveen. Students and young professionals work in multidisciplinary teams to solve real sustainability challenges from regional companies using IT and digital innovation. The aim is to combine technology with the green transition to deliver practical, impactful solutions.
2. What to Expect
Participants will visit different locations, meet case owners, conduct research, and join workshops led by innovation experts. All meals, drinks, and activities are included, and a digital certificate is awarded. The program offers hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and career growth in IT and sustainability.
3. Organizers & Background
Organized by Club Disrupt with IT HUB Hoogeveen and partners, the event builds on past Green Business Challenges that engaged hundreds of international students. Previous editions addressed topics like sustainable packaging and biobased materials. This new edition focuses on tech as a key driver for climate action in the Northern Netherlands.
