The 2026 edition of Energy Technology Perspectives

The IEA’s Energy Technology Perspectives (ETP) series serves since 2006 as the world’s guidebook for clean energy technologies. The 2026 edution was published very recently, on 26 March, and will be highlighted during the lecture by experts from the IEA. It analyses both demand-side trends (such as policy developments and technology adoption) and supply-side factors (including manufacturing capacity and trade flows), supported by detailed modelling. This edition places particular emphasis on supply chain vulnerabilities and industrial competitiveness, including cost structures and the impact of industrial policies.
