In the province of Groningen, the largest solar thermal park in the Netherlands will be build. It is the third largest solar thermal park in the world. Today is your chance to visit the park and learn how a project like this is set up. From start to implementation.

Solar thermal park Dorkwerd is being developed by Novar and K3 on the north side of the city of Groningen. The difference with ‘ordinary’ collectors is that heat is generated, instead of electricity. With the help of solar collectors, the heat from the sun is collected and this heats the water that runs past the solar collectors. And when designing the solar thermal park, careful consideration has been given to a natural integration into the landscape.
