Climate adaptation

Everyone can contribute to making and keeping their own living environment climate-proof. Floris Boogaard, lecturer in Climate Adaptation at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen, is a keynote speaker and takes you into the world of climate adaptation by means of practical examples. The measures we can take are often simple and municipalities also have various schemes that encourage climate-adaptive solutions. Martijn Schuit of the Municipality of Groningen joins as a table guest to explain what is already happening in neighborhoods and districts and what the municipality still has planned. Finally, Industrial Product Design student Niels Kuijpens also participates in the debate. He designed a tree made of recycled plastic that helps combat heat stress in the city and won an award for it.
