RES Race? The Regional Energy Strategy! The Netherlands is divided in thirty energy regions. These regions are investigating where and how to generate sustainable electricity on land. Where is space and how much? Are the places socially acceptable and financially feasible? In a Regional Energy Strategy, each energy region is defining its own choices.

Regional cooperation is essential; The RES is an instrument to enhance regionally supported choices for the generation of sustainable electricity, the heat transition in the built environment and the required storage and energy infrastructure. The National Program RES supports the regions by developing and sharing knowledge, offering process support and facilitating a learning community.
