Hydrogen is seen as a great promise for a sustainable future, but the question remains where the actual breakthrough will start. The government’s emphasis is mainly on industry; green hydrogen for them. But it may still take years because of price, volume, quality and security of supply. Perhaps it is smart to start already with hydrogen in homes and transport. That can be done quickly, with smaller volumes and higher prices than industry will ever pay. In this way, they might become the drivers of wider hydrogen awareness and use.
