Our behavior is inextricably linked to the speed of the energy transition, but how do you measure whether our behavior is successful? Population survey Energysense collects data and provides insight into the behavior and energy use of residents. With this, households and organizations can discover whether their behaviour, ideas and interventions really contribute to the energy transition.

The value of the data from the Energysense population screening will be discussed. This will be done with resident Ester Boekholt from Pekela, who is considering taking part in the project: what’s the use of sharing her data? We also ask sustainability entrepreneur Erik Tack from Voortaan Duurzaam about the added value of this data for companies. Together with Yang Soo Kloosterhof, advisor to municipalities, we are investigating whether data can help to involve everyone in the energy transition. One of the Groningen housing associations will also sit down to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of energy data for housing associations and their tenants.
